I love making women feel beautiful. We’re conditioned to fit into this box of pre-made fast fashion body proportions….which is SO unrealistic given our vast differences. So it’s really magically to see each of my brides light up when they see and feel a custom fit garment. To do that for the most important day of their life….it’s nothing short of magical.

Be yourself. If you don’t wear jewelry, don’t wear jewelry. You need to still be you on your wedding day.

Hey, I’m Nadine! I started Sweet Francis Sewing Co as a side hustle when I was a middle school choir teacher! Before I knew it, this ‘side’ gig stole my heart, and in 2018 I left the classroom to pursue my business full time. Sometimes I still can’t believe this what I get to do for a living! I love creating and working with my hands- whether it’s bridal sewing or a fun project for myself. My husband, Deron, has always been my biggest supporter and I couldn’t have come done this without him. We have 5 cute fluffy chickens, and we’re currently planning a garden for this summer…send help!

Everything! Obviously, I love working with the pretty fabrics!

But what initially drew me to bridal sewing were the relationships I built with clients. I get to know my brides fairly personally throughout fittings together, and I really enjoy hearing their stories. There’s something so special about fitting a woman for such a momentous, life changing event…that doesn’t get old.
I also think there’s a part of me that fell in love with the wedding industry in 2001 when The Wedding Planner dropped- haha! It was destiny!

It is very satisfying to take a dress from good to great, and see how a perfect fit brings out the beauty of its wearer. I especially enjoy customizing dresses and can handle the fabrics and details of all dress styles. My focus is always on removing any ‘dress-stress’ with creativity, competitive pricing, excellent workmanship, and fast turnaround.

I’m Rodrigo – but please call me Rod! I joined 1927 S’mores Company back in 2021 and am lucky enough to help grow this one-of-a-kind brand. Prior to 1927 I had a retail management background and I am beyond happy to have joined 1927 and the weddings and events community! It has been a joy getting to be a part of this industry, I promise you’re in great hands. While I oversee nearly every aspect of 1927, our catering team and clients have my heart as most of my attention pours into what makes this magic happen!.

Each year a handful of our couples will say, “oh our parents are SO mad we’re doing s’mores and not a cake!” And every time I tell them that it’s going to be okay, and years down the road they’ll remember what a one of a kind experience. As a sentimental person, weddings are a natural outlet for my art practice, drawing people at parties. Where groups of people are gathering to celebrate each other, and we wish we could capture every little bit of it, I love to offer an experience that is personal, tactile, and one of a kind. Every gathering is different, every conversation, every portrait. Drawing people never gets old for me, and the fact that this practice brings so much joy feels like magic. Located in scenic Deer Island, Cascadia Glamping serves as a mobile immersive experience that you and your friends will cherish. We provide glamping tent rentals in Oregon, Washington and beyond. We are full service which means we set-up, furnish, and help to ensure that guests are cozy and comfortable. We specialize in larger events, but we’re available for small events, too!

Those same goals we have for our farm continue to drive us with Cascadia Glamping. We strive to bring people together outdoors with the comforts of home! This upcoming year is set to be my busiest wedding season post-COVID, and it fills me with so much excitement. Weddings provide an ideal environment for my newer animals who are still developing their therapy skills. While one might assume that weddings could be overwhelming and overly stimulating for these animals, they offer a fantastic source of controlled chaos. Witnessing my newer animals thrive in this upcoming year will be so happy to watch.

I love helping beginner dancers fall in love with dance and working with fiances who are so in love and excited for their big day! Dance lessons help build confidence, trust with one another and create space for you to spend quality time with your partner.

So many great memories it’s difficult to pick one. But I think one that stands out is I worked with a very shy couple and they were not comfortable being the center of attention and were scared to death of doing a first dance. I met with them prior to their wedding and I worked with them on a simple dance and chose a place to fade the song to shorten the dance. After the dance they both came up and hugged and thanked me. That was a very special moment.

We believe that love is love. There is someone for everyone, and our roll in their big day is to provide the fun. How cool is that?

What do you love about weddings + your craft?

I love writing the ceremony for each couple I’m working with. No two are alike!

This experience creates a ceremony that is personalized, meaningful and unique to not only the couple, but all the guests as well.

What Advice Do You Have For Couples Planning Their PNW Wedding?

I encourage my couples to be as involved in the design of their ceremony as they are willing to be. I ask them to be intentional in choosing the elements and details of their vows. My advice is to invest fully in being authentic and true to themselves and then to be as present as possible during the ceremony itself. I know it will make a difference during their marriage to be able to recall those few short minutes, what they said, what the felt and to feel the support of their joyful memories and commitments as they navigate life together.

What do you love about weddings + your craft?

I love that I get to be a height man for two people who are so in love with one another! Taking my power and passion for writing to be able to craft some thing that leaves everyone thinking, “oh yeah, that was so them!”

Reframing the expectations of what a wedding ceremony could be, and making it a celebration. I have couples who have all sorts of different walks of life, with separate beliefs and faiths of their own. So when they come to me with what they think are “conflicting” ideas or traditions they’d like to include? They are overjoyed to discover I can weave them naturally into a ceremony that has both of their voices!

To always ensure their pet can handle attending a wedding. Large crowds can be overwhelming for most dogs. It is always important to set our pets’ up for success. There are many ways to include our pets even if they can not be at the actual event.

What we love about weddings is witnessing the joy of our clients on their special day. It’s a celebration filled with love and support from friends and family who’ve been there through every milestone. That’s why we’re passionate about ensuring that their cherished pets are part of the festivities, because every member of the family deserves to share in the happiness of the occasion.

Each of our team members has years of experience handling and caring for canine companions. We’re a company created by pet owners for pet owners, and we recognize the importance of forming life-long memories with your furry friend (or friends) by your side. In other words, you can trust us to take pawsitively excellent care of your pup on your wedding day, engagement, or any other special occasion!

Its best to schedule your pups for the ceremony, and/or the photos, but not the entire wedding celebration (ceremony, photos, and reception). Dogs aren’t use to being around 150 people in one day and being there the entire time is usually too much for them.

We also recommend having someone from the wedding party or family (not us) walk the dog down the aisle so that we aren’t the center of attention in your photos.

Other than the opportunity to hang with more precious pups?! Documenting all their beautiful behind the scenes wedding moments. This is their pup’s best day ever too and we want our clients to see their special day from their dog’s point of view.

I love seeing a vision come to life through weddings and experiencing the love + joy of the couple. Incorporating their dog is a cherry on top, it’s such a special way to involve the fur babies!

We love the love season for sure! Seeing the special couple of the day in our Adventure Box Photo Booth is our favorite. Everyone is watching, laughing, and enjoying the moment cheering them on. We get to laugh and smile while we provide our photo booth. It’s the best.

Why do we do it? Because love and joy are contagious. What do you love about weddings + your craft?

Whether a wedding day includes puppies, Stormtroopers, hula dancers, a drag queen, or a mariachi band, I love thinking “on my feet”. While we’re taking your intentional photos, I’ll be engaged and focused on making the photo time fun for you and your family. During your ceremony and other reception events, my goal is to be as unobtrusive as possible so that you can just be present to enjoy every moment.

What gets you excited for the upcoming wedding season?

So many amazing couples planning their own unique day(s) and I am just so blessed to be part of the experience. From planning assistance leading up to the event, photographing day of, gallery delivery and beyond – I love being there for my couples! 🙂

Weddings are such a pivotal moment in people’s lives. It’s the beginning of a whole new chapter together and so much planning and love goes into it all. It’s so fun to see how couples bring in their personal taste and celebrate their relationship. Photography gives me an ability to show couples things they may have missed in all the excitement and blur of their day. It gives me an opportunity to bring couples together in a moment of peace and focus on each other during their portraits. I get to provide beautiful memories of a really joyous day and that’s incredibly special.

Plan little moments throughout your day to check in with each other, especially if you’re having a big wedding or a busy day with lots of events going on. Schedule a little extra time for couple’s portraits if at all possible. Taking a breath together and really seeing each other and savoring the moment without distractions is so important.

I am an enneagram 4w3. Why does this matter? It means I love creating designs that make people FEEL something. As a planner, I build deep connections with my couples and truly value being your teammate in the wedding planning journey, something I believe is incredibly special to have while planning a high-emotion, high-impact event in your life.

Don’t be afraid to do away with tradition. Do what makes you happy. Break rules. This is your day.

We love that there are so many different ways to plan and design a wedding day. We’re always excited about design in general, but wedding design is so personal. We’re all about getting to know our couples and learning about their story and priorities to help them craft a day that’s perfect for them. It’s the greatest reward to see that look of bliss on their wedding day when all of that attention to detail and hard work comes together in such a beautiful way.

It’s a special day full of memories and you want the day to be perfect. But the interesting thing is…it’s the challenges, surprises, and unplanned moments that usually end up making the best stories.

Hello, my name is Donna Saladin and I am the owner operator of Country Garden Tables. My husband Rick and I handcraft all our farm style tables. We love seeing they turn into beautiful tables from start to finish.

What do you love about weddings + your craft?

What I love most about weddings is seeing couples, their family and friends celebrate at our tables. We custom build each table, from picking out individual boards for the legs and frames to the boards that will become the table top. We crafted each table with love and will forever be present in the photos of their wedding.

Do you have any favorite memories from the previous wedding season?

We’ve had so many amazing weddings, but our Legend of Zelda themed wedding, and gifting them with a functional treasure box for their card box that played the sound effect was so much fun. They had no idea that we had done that.

Another favorite moment was our Celestial summer wedding that we did full design and coordination for. Our team had so much fun transforming the space into a night under the stars for the couple.

We are Beca Odenthal and Aimee Klopman! We’re a mother-daughter duo! A little bit about us…we’re from Sandpoint, however, Beca now lives in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and works as a realtor. Aimee still lives and works in Sandpoint! We love anything and everything outdoors! Hunting, fishing, skiing, four wheeling, you name it!

Aimee has been married for 28 years to the love of her life and you’ll be seeing Tom doing some of the heavy lifting around! They have 3 daughters, Beca, Bailee and Breann. Beca was married in 2022 to Alex (you’ll be seeing him doing heavy lifting too) and Shenanigans was actually at our wedding!

Hi! We are Matt and Sarah, a husband and wife video team based in Corvallis, Oregon. We are passionate about creating story driven wedding films that allow you to relive your day. We love filming weddings. It is a creative outlet for us and a little like a working date day for us.

Try to be as present as you can on your wedding day. Take a deep breath and look around at all the people that love and care about you. It’s easy to get swept up in the details and stress of the day. But try to step back and take in the big picture.

What gets you excited for the upcoming wedding season?

Half our couples are referred to us past couples and most to all the others have told us they want us because they love US in addition to our work. It is such a compliment when an inquiry comes in and says they know they want you and only you because they feel they just click with us (and of course love our films as well). Our couples really are our friends.
We also get to film at a few new places this year which is always so fun! And at the end of the season, we get to welcome our sweet new baby! Being pregnant during Summer in the PNW is no easy feat but I’m ready haha!

What do you love about weddings + your craft?

A key aspect that every couple receives from us is an incredibly personal touch, never cookie-cutter. We love getting to know you two so we are comfortable with each other on the big day, and understand how to help facilitate moments to tell your love story. We enjoy giving you a film as special as your marriage to live and grow with you. Like our own wedding film, we want to craft a keepsake that you’ll not only love now, but in the future. To help you through hard times, strengthen your bond, and remind you of the love you have for each other. We look for the unscripted raw, fun and inspiring moments. Our focus is thinking about your personalities and love and how to best capture each clip to reflect it. Our color is generally quite true-to-life and we work hard to capture and produce clean audio. Our editing can shift from quiet intimate moments to high-energy party, depending on the couple, the wedding, and the overall vibe.
