Do you have any favorite memories from the previous wedding season?

Belle Flower Farm is a charming play on words- Bellflower & my great grandmother Laura Belle. Laura Belle was a florist in 1950’s Vancouver, WA. Uncommon in those days, now her influence continues through my own life’s purpose. Playing in her garden & greenhouse, I pretended to marry under her rose-laden arbor. After art school I worked in retail management. Also taking on free-lance display work, catering & floral design. We raised our family on our dream property and quickly named our own home & gardens Belle Flower Farm. I also continued to grow my management skills developing an art program for local elementary schools. In 2019 I began our lovely version of BFF Florals | Design | Styling, and am so delighted to work with couples, families & individuals with wedding, event & gift bouquets.

Be mindful when planning your bar menu and ignore the distractions. Don’t over-complicate things by offering too many options and also offer cocktails, wines, or beer that fit the season and occasion – i.e. an espresso martini is great, but maybe not the ideal option for an outdoor wedding on a 90-degree afternoon in formalwear.

I encourage my couples to be as involved in the design of their ceremony as they are willing to be. I ask them to be intentional in choosing the elements and details of their vows. My advice is to invest fully in being authentic and true to themselves and then to be as present as possible during the ceremony itself. I know it will make a difference during their marriage to be able to recall those few short minutes, what they said, what the felt and to feel the support of their joyful memories and commitments as they navigate life together.

What do you love about weddings + your craft?

I love that I get to be a hype man for two people who are so in love with one another! Taking my power and passion for writing to be able to craft some thing that leaves everyone thinking, “oh yeah, that was so them!”

Reframing the expectations of what a wedding ceremony could be, and making it a celebration. I have couples who have all sorts of different walks of life, with separate beliefs and faiths of their own. So when they come to me with what they think are “conflicting” ideas or traditions they’d like to include? They are overjoyed to discover I can weave them naturally into a ceremony that has both of their voices!

What we love about weddings is witnessing the joy of our clients on their special day. It’s a celebration filled with love and support from friends and family who’ve been there through every milestone. That’s why we’re passionate about ensuring that their cherished pets are part of the festivities, because every member of the family deserves to share in the happiness of the occasion.

Each of our team members has years of experience handling and caring for canine companions. We’re a company created by pet owners for pet owners, and we recognize the importance of forming life-long memories with your furry friend (or friends) by your side. In other words, you can trust us to take pawsitively excellent care of your pup on your wedding day, engagement, or any other special occasion!

Its best to schedule your pups for the ceremony, and/or the photos, but not the entire wedding celebration (ceremony, photos, and reception). Dogs aren’t use to being around 150 people in one day and being there the entire time is usually too much for them.

We also recommend having someone from the wedding party or family (not us) walk the dog down the aisle so that we aren’t the center of attention in your photos.

Each weekend during the wedding season we get the special honor to hang with the cutest puppies on their pawrents’ big day. To us, there’s nothing more exciting or sweeter than that!

I love seeing a vision come to life through weddings and experiencing the love + joy of the couple. Incorporating their dog is a cherry on top, it’s such a special way to involve the fur babies!

I absolutely love bringing each couple’s unique love story to life through my designs. What single piece of advice do you always give your clients?

There’s no right or wrong way to do your wedding—only your way. Forget the trends, the expectations, and the “shoulds.” Your wedding is a reflection of your love story, and it should feel authentic to you. Whether that means a traditional ceremony or something completely out of the box, a grand ballroom or a backyard under the stars, we encourage couples to embrace what makes their day feel special. The most memorable weddings are the ones where couples stay true to themselves, celebrating in a way that feels effortless, joyful, and uniquely theirs.

I didn’t start off as a stylist, but design and creativity were always part of my life. My first career was in Branding. Before opening Lily & Cane and venturing into event rentals I used to work as a Marketing Director. I worked on branding, company culture, and client events.

It’s while planning one of our events that I first fell in love with the events world and where I saw a small niche for myself to bring to the Portland events industry new options that weren’t just different and unique but also high in quality.

I find myself often saying, “we have time”. Of course there are limitations, but rolling with changes and really cheering your vision on is a joy. My job is to help make the details feel effortless.

I absolutely love how each wedding is totally unique. Every couple deserves to express their personalities on their big day and it makes me so happy when I can help make that vision come to life!

With the support of my husband, Eric, I stepped back from my job so that I could focus on the career I’ve always wanted-to start a business out of a hobby. I dreamed of a more flexible schedule to spend more time with our, then 6 month old, daughter, Halle. I also wanted to spend more time doing what I really loved – and so “HeyHalle” was launched.

Wedding stationery, hand script, and event design is something that I’ve always been good at, and to get the chance to provide pretty details to someone’s happiest day, makes me happy.

HeyHalle offers designs for murals, marketing, home decor, announcements, chalkboards, save the dates, invitations, RSVPS, and all day of stationery and details..or really anything you can think of.

I love bringing so many unique visions to life. My craft is constantly evolving and with each event comes new ideas. Working with so many other creatives has been such a joy.

Nicole is a featured wedding stationery designer specializing in hand-painted watercolor creations. Raised amidst the natural splendor of the Pacific Northwest, she draws inspiration from its forests, vibrant wildflowers, and serene landscapes. With a refined appreciation for the artful imperfections of watercolors, Nicole imbues each piece with a distinctive, organic charm. Her portfolio spans from delicately rendered florals to refined elements that capture the unique vision of every couple. With warmth and professionalism, she crafts stationery that truly honors and elevates each celebration.

The two things I love most about weddings and my craft are the uniqueness and creative exploration that each wedding brings as well as the sentimental touches the painted stationery can bring to the table.

I am an ooy-gooy sentimental person and love bringing meaning and emotion into invitations and wedding signs. There is just so much potential and I love helping couples bring those touches out.

Getting to stand alongside couples on the most intimate day of their lives is so powerful. They really put so much trust in us to tell their story in a way that is going to show the world how incredible it is. I think the best part is having that bond with our couples that really makes us feel like we are family. We laugh, we cry and we dance together and pop champagne together through every part of the process. Delivery day when we give the galleries and videos to our clients is always the happiest day. We get to giggle and squeal together watching them re-live their best day ever and it is something we will never be able to express our full gratitude for.

In the year 2011, I crossed paths with my beautiful wife, Christine on the commando hike on Maui. Together, we embarked on the joyous journey of raising our two sons, Carter and Cruz, just a stone’s throw away from the tranquil beaches of Lahaina. Our idyllic island life was disrupted by the wildfires of 2023, compelling us to make the heartfelt decision to return to Oregon to be closer to family.

Amidst the changes, my passion for capturing the essence of love endured. In the tropical paradise of Maui, No Ka Oi Films, my wedding videography business, continues to flourish. Meanwhile, back in the Pacific Northwest, Timber and Tide Films emerged. Specializing in capturing the heartfelt moments of couples tying the knot in the picturesque landscapes of Washington, Oregon, and California.

I love everything about weddings, if I could be there from start to finish I would. I love getting to help calm the nerves, to be the first vendor to help set the tone of the morning. I love makeup because I get to help make people feel beautiful and confident what’s better than that.
