Kay was phenomenal! She knew exactly what we were envisioning and made the entire process very easy. We got married outside in 115 degrees and Kay knew right away that my flowers were going to die in the heat, so she found a solution for me before I even thought it was going to be a problem. Our arch then fell over because the wood swelled due to the heat but Kay had a backup plan for that as well and I had complete confidence that she was going to make it look gorgeous. During a stressful day of unforeseeable issues, we knew we could depend on Kay to make the changes necessary and we weren’t nervous at all about how it would look. Working with Kay was honestly one of the best things we did for ourselves, she was a blessing.
While I was planning my wedding during Covid we had a lot of hiccups including venue changes which ended up also changing the design for the floral. Kay was very responsive and able to help us through every change, and happy to do so! We ended up with an amazing wedding with the most beautiful arch I’ve ever seen in person and centerpieces that filled a huge room we got for 100 people due to Covid!
Kay was great to work with. She is very organized and on top of the logistics of things. More importantly, our wedding flowers were AMAZING!!!! I could not have pictured a more beautiful bridal bouquet if I tried, it even trumped all the pinterest flowers I had looked at. Our reception area looked great as well with beautiful centerpieces and a gorgeous head table flower garland. Kay definitely listened to exactly what I wanted and she nailed it! I would recommend any bride consider working with Kay for their floral needs.
The Approach
Once I have received your core event information via our website form, I will set an appointment to discuss your floral dreams. All services, from consultations to event design, are done with the owner, Kay. Initial consultations are offered virtually and generally last about 1 hour. Then, the magic begins as I tailor design floral creations to bring your wedding and events to life.

Approximately one week following our initial consultation, a detailed proposal will be provided to you. Upon approval of the proposal, a 25% non-refundable deposit is due, with 50% due three months prior to the event and the balance due three weeks prior to the event.

From the comfort of my home-based studio, surrounded by the sounds of my son and dog playing, Flowers For You has grown alongside my little family into one of Portland Oregon’s most respected and in-demand floral design studios. A native of Portland, Oregon, I fell in love with floral design from a young age, where it transformed into my life-long passion with the creation of Flowers For You in 2006. I have a firm focus on texture, color, uniqueness, boldness, modernity, quality and impeccable service. I thrive on the significance each of my designs holds as they become part of someone’s everlasting memory.
